Jakarta (27/10) Today PT Krakatau Daya Listrik and PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for business cooperation in the development of workshops and electricity EPC at the Wisma Baja Krakatau Steel Building. The signing was attended by the President Director of PT KDL Mr. Agus Nizar Vidiansyah and the President Director of PT Barata Indonesia Mr. Bobby Sumardiat which was witnessed by the Director of Business Development of PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Mr. Purwono and the President Director of PT Krakatau Sarana Infrastruktur Mr. Priyo Budianto. PT KDL targets to increase revenue from the electricity service business line by 2-3 times by doing this collaboration.

Currently, PT KDL has a workshop for repairing transformers up to 60 MW capacity and LV & MV motors up to 250 kW and PT Barata Indonesia has a turbine component fabrication workshop that supports local programs for power generation content.

The existence of cooperation in the development of electricity service workshops supported by the readiness of certified human resources is expected to reach the potential of the electricity EPC market in Indonesia which is currently developing. In addition, the cooperation between SOEs is expected to provide benefits for the Indonesian nation and state.
